www.ulchq.com is the original Universal Life Church. Read about it here…https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Life_Church. Their website is quite dated. www.themonastery.org and www.ulc.org are affiliated with each other, but not with the other sites, as you found out.

I beleive if you go to your countys website, look up marriage license info, your county and state in a search engine, It will give you a number to check if someone is ordained.

When you are serving in the capacity of a wedding officiant and signing a marriage license you are swearing that the couple you are marrying is completing the marriage license in accordance with the law. Essentially, you are witnessing their act of marriage.

Is there free parking in front of the monastery?
Yes, the Monastery has ample free parking in our parking lot across the street from the Church, 1400 Quincy Street. Buses must park on the street in front of the Monastery. The Security Guard will reserve spaces for buses on the street with parking cones.
How to schedule a tour of the Franciscan monastery?
To schedule a tour, call 202-526-6800 or submit an inquiry. At all times, regardless of where you are in the Monastery, be respectful of others who might be praying and/or in confession. Eating and drinking are not allowed in church. Cell phones must be silenced, put on vibrate or turned off. Photography for personal use is allowed.
Is the monastery of Christ in the desert open on Sundays?
Masks are required for visitors to the Giftshop and in church. On Sundays, the Conventual Mass is offered at 9:15 am. Attendees are welcome. The Giftshop will be open from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Our Guesthouse for overnight retreatants remains closed.
