Background. Treants are slow-moving trees that appear exclusively in The Forest in the DLC, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.
How do you get the bee shield?
To get “The Bee” Shield you need to:
- Travel to the Arid Nexus – Boneyard using the fast travel system.
- Tavel east until you reach the building labeled “Hyperion Truth Network”.
- An elevator is located directly behind the structure, and should be located on the ground level.
- Push the button for the door.

At any level, there is a 1/3 chance of obtaning a Bee shield with the desired level (e.g. OP10 when playing on OP10). Since Treants have a 1/10 drop rate, the breakdown is (3/11)x(1/81)x(1/5)(1/3), meaning a 1/8910 chance of obtaing a ‘perfect’ Bee shield (double Maliwan parts) when farming Treants.
What is the perfect bee shield?
A ‘perfect’ Bee Shield, meaning the highest amp damage possible with relatively short shield delay, comes with a Maliwan capacitor and Maliwan battery. At any level, there is a 1/3 chance of obtaning a Bee shield with the desired level (e.g. OP10 when playing on OP10).
Is the bee shield good?
It’s a shield useful on any class and build. (Mostly) as it just adds bonus damage without reducing shield. Use a regular shield. Bee shield is useful for really beefy bosses and stuff, but if you use slag and good weapons, you won’t need it for mobbing.

Why are missions blocked in Borderlands 2?
Some quests may be temporarily blocked when Sanctuary is inaccessible and can be accessed again once you finish the related events.
