Lacticare HC: Topical lotion (1%) HYDROCORTISONE (hye droe KOR ti sone) is a corticosteroid. It is used on the skin to reduce swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions.

How do you use Lacti lotion?

Follow all instructions closely.

  1. Do not take Lacticare (lactic acid and ammonium hydroxide lotion) by mouth.
  2. Wash your hands before and after use.
  3. Clean affected part before use.
  4. Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently.
  5. Do not put on open wounds, cuts, or irritated skin.
  6. Shake well before use.

What is HC Lotion?

This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., insect bites, poison oak/ivy, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash, itching of the outer female genitals, anal itching). Hydrocortisone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions.
