- Load lancet into lancing device and twist off protective cap.
- Choose a spot on the side of a different finger each time you take a blood sample.
- Follow lancing device manufacturer’s instructions for obtaining a blood sample.

- Take the cap off the lancing device.
- Insert a new lancet into the lancet device, as seen in the picture.
- Twist off the blue safety cap on the tip of the lancet after you insert the needle into the device.
- Replace the cap on the lancet.
- Twist the cap to set the lancet depth.
