Are platinum fountain pens good?

Are platinum fountain pens good?

The Platinum 3776 fountain pen is a great pen to write with and isn’t that what it is really all about. The nib is very smooth and the cap keeps the ink fresh and ready to use. The pen looks great with it’s classic cigar shape design. Overall the Platinum 3776 is a great pen and one of my favorite pens to use.

What’s the price of a LAMY 2000 PEN?

It truly is almost a one-size-fits-all design. At $150, the Lamy 2000 comes with a couple of features that make it quite the value, and are uncommon on pens in the same price range or even higher. First is the fact that this is a piston-filler pen.

What kind of nib does The LAMY 2000 have?

The fact that the Lamy 2000 also comes with a Platinum-plated 14k gold nib is also pretty spectacular at this price. The nib is semi-hooded, and does a good job of continuing the tapering line of the pen all the way down to the nib tip. The nib is ultra-smooth.

What’s the price of a platinum President pen?

The 3776 and President are both in the “mid-range” price point in the Platinum lineup, but are actually really close. Almost too close I think to make a lot of sense. In comparing the full retail prices on the two, the 3776 pens start at $220 while the President is $275 ($325 for the rhodium model I got).

Which is the best Platinum pen to buy?

Our favorite pen in the Platinum line is the 3776 Century. This is a beautiful pen with a gold nib that offers lots of control and paper feedback. It’s a cartridge converter with an MSRP that is over $150 but you can regularly import from Japan for around half that. At under $100 this pen is a phenomenal deal.
